In the very first challenge of Top Chef Masters season five, the chefs were asked to sky-dive into their outdoor kitchen, but Douglas just couldn't do it. His fear of heights kept him from taking the leap, a decision that cost him precious prep time in round one, but clearly didn't keep him from earning the big prize in the end.

Douglas being Douglas, however, doesn't settle for being the only top chef not to have sky-dived. Having conquered many fears through the Top Chef Masters journey, Douglas decided to jump on a sunny day in northern California, gaining him another accomplishment under his belt, along with an incredible view of the Russian River and the Sonoma Valley that he calls home.
